I just finished an upgrade from 4.1 to 4.1.1 and I think it was more or less
successfull. Right now I have the following problem:

From lts.conf:
[ws09]
        SCREEN_01        = shell
        SCREEN_02        = startx

During the boot, I see that the shell SCREEN_01 gets started, it than
continues to start SCREEN_02 (startx). After this I can't switch to
SCREEN_01. What could be the reason? The lts.conf has not changed during
the upgrade. I did not remove the files in /opt/ltsp just started ltspadmin
-> upgrade packages.

Itspadmin retrieved packages from http://www.ltsp.org/ltsp-4.1/ I assume that
the 4.1.1 packages are there.

The version file contains:
# cat /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/version
VERSION=4.0.1

But that is most likely because the ltsp-tree package is not upgraded.

If I uncomment SCREEN_02 the terminal shows the shell and the hostname is
ws09.

Running '/usr/X11R6/bin/X -version' on the terminal results in version 6.8.2
=> upgrade has been performed.

During the upgrade I got:

> cat ltsp-4.1-4.1.1-upgrade
tar: i386/etc/X11/rstart/commands/x: Cannot create symlink to `x11r6': File
exists
tar: i386/etc/X11/rstart/commands/x11: Cannot create symlink to `x11r6': File

tar: i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults: Cannot open: File exists
tar: i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fs: Cannot open: File exists
tar: i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/lbxproxy: Cannot open: File exists

tar: i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xsm: Cannot open: File exists
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

How bad is this? All the files are actually readonly, hence the can not be
overwritten:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/opt/ltsp> ls -ld i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit
drwxr-xr-x  2 root root 72 Jul 12  2004 i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/opt/ltsp> ls -l i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit/*

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/opt/ltsp> ls -ld i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rstart
drwxr-xr-x  4 root root 152 Jul 22  2004 i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rstart

-r--r--r--  1 root root  1711 Jul 22  2004
i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rstart/config

Is this troublesome??
