Hi,

if 'lbus-start.sh' is executed in '/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc' or in
'/kde/share/config/kdm/Xstartup' i have no local drives attached, if i
execute 'lbus-start.sh' after logon in kde in an xterm window, i can
access the local devices on the clients.

any hints?

What distro?

Each distro seems to have a different idea of what scripts should be run
after logging in.

its Gentoo. But the scripts are executed at logon/start, i tested that with the 'echo' command i placed behind the lbus-start.sh command.
