Thanks JL and JK for your responses. My hosts file has
about 50 names ip address pairs. The named.conf
partial content is :
zone "." IN {
type hint;
file "named.ca";
};
zone "localhost" IN {
type master;
file "localhost.zone";
allow-update { none; };
};
zone "0.0.127.in-addr.arpa" IN {
type master;
file "named.local";
allow-update { none; };
};
include "/etc/rndc.key";
zone "compedu.net" { type master;
file "db.compedu.net";
allow-transfer { none; };
};
=====
The last zone is added for our network, all others
were there by default.Should the our netzone to be
moved upword?
The ltsp zone file db.compedu.net content is:
$TTL 86400
@ IN SOA compedu.net.
hostmaster.compedu.net. (
