Well, the problems I had:
- keyboard layout switching did not work quite well in the NX session
- when you connect to the session from a different machine with a
different display resolution and than back again, the desktop size
should be changed via XRANDR extension. But it did not work well -
sometimes the desktop was not resized, some strange effects...
- I did not like the fact that every time I disconnect/close the
session, X server gets restarted - it does not look professional. I
wanted only the nxclient to be restarted.
- Moreover, I wanted to explore possibility of more applications to be
started on the single X server (something like extremely light "desktop"
running directly on the thin client) with a cut/paste possibility
between them. This can be achieved with a desktop manager only.
- in general the nxclient seems to me working much nicely when launched
from within a window manager. Xfwm does a very good job here.

Yes, the top-right corner works (and I wanted it to work), but it could
be disabled in the NX configuration, I think.
