First, thank you for the answer! Ühel kenal päeval (reede, 2. mai 2008) kirjutas Gideon Romm:

Ok, after sending my previous message i found some bits about this JetDirect, but i can't find more information about JetDirect in LTSP client. Is there something to read about it? To understand what may be wrong in my setup... > You need to make sure the workstation's IP doesn't change by mapping its > MAC address to an IP in dhcpd.conf. Yes, they have. All machines have fix-IPs (already from LTSP 4) > Then, you can use the IP and port > 9100 to set up a JetDirect print queue on the server. How can i make sure, the port is listening and how can i make it listen? In LTSP 4 i made "telnet 192.168.1.5 9100" and if it answered i knew, it is OK. It should still work, but i got no answer from port 9100. Or if i wanted to restart printer server, in shell i killed lp_server and started it again (sometimes i even reloaded lp-depended modules). In LTSP 5 there is no answering on port 9100 and with 2.6.* kernels is lp_server out of game. So, i ask some advice, how this JetDirect stuff should work in LTSP5 and why it does not?
