I feel myself very silly now. Whole this wrestling over the month for
something what is just missing. Hello, guys, does not anyone use client
printing on Ubuntu/LTSP5?! How?

Thank you very much, Andrew! I got it work, this jetpipe is just a python
script, there is no platform dependent problems at all... It is really
confusing, why it is missing in Ubuntu ltsp-client environment?

> HTH

It did, thank you again.

At least i got 4 things to report:
1. jetpipe is missing from (K)Ubuntu 8.04 builded client environment.
2. jetpipe did'nt pass print jobs to my printer (HP LJ P2014) through LPT but
did through USB. On hplip page
http://hplip.sourceforge.net/supported_devices/combined.html is told, that
LPT is not supported, but on LTSP 4 with lp_server it worked fine through
LPT.
3. hplip should have support for my printer (HP LJ P2014), but such printer is
not in the list, you need use HP LJ M1005
4. Even HP LJ M1005 does not appear in the list of available printers, if you
try add printer through KDE System settings/Printers. Still it appears in
CUPS webinterface.

Thank you, hope it will help others too,
Tänud,

WK
