They don't have the EPROM fitted. So...floppy PXE/HD PXE boot them is the answer.
Bios; Yes I'm aware of your suggestions, have tried them all. Some PCs will only netboot using F12 and selecting net boot. But I have found PCs where the bios entries simply doesn't work. These PC's are among them.
