There's one further question I would have: If you set up two identical thin clients, sit them alongside each other and set compression on one and no compression on the other, can a user tell the difference? Do they notice any sort of "sluggishness"? Also, what spec are your thin clients? Adding compression presumably increases the required cpu of a thin client, it would be interesting to get an idea what's needed.
