Hi, I'm trying a setup with LTSP 5.0 on Ubuntu 8.10 where I have two sessions setup in my ltsp.conf: one is a typical LTSP ldm session, the other is an rdesktop session connecting to a Windows Vista machine.
It seems to start up fine and I can toggle between the two "worlds" with ctrl-alt-f7 and ctrl-alt-f8 which is pretty cool and left some people at my office very impressed! :-) I walk up to an old computer with a diskette in my hand, and minutes later I have a dual system fast computer to work on! Brilliant. BUT unfortunately when I'm working in Linux, every once in a while my console just switches automatically to the Vista machine, without me requesting it in any way... then I go back to Linux by pressing ctrl-alt-f7, and after a few minutes it jumps back to Windows. Pretty annoying, eh? And slightly mysterious. Could this be the X session of the Windows machine timing out and getting re-spawned? Why does it happen only with the rdesktop console? Is this a known problem? How can I troubleshoot it? Thank you!
