It is known to me, although I don't use Windows at all, my colleagues at work do, and I'm planing to go to a thin clients with both, a Linux and a Windows server for them to use. I've been using it for some time now (with 2 Linux and a FreeBSD server) and it works like a charm, but as soon as I add a Windows server (rdesktop) for testing purposes, it starts doing the annoying switch you are describing. It isn't aceptable for production, in my opinion. I wish there is a solution for it.
