NX works - and works fast - day > in and day out - and that's what matters to the users. feenx contains a whole copy of a very old version of the xorg libraries (which is the reason why it is not included in distributions usually, the libs are outdated and dont see security fixes) libxcb is the next generation of xlibs and aims to replace libx11 at some point, most recent distros use xcb because it is supposed to be faster and a lot smaller than xlibs [1] but as all new software it simply has bugs for which stgraber provides a fixed package in his PPA (containing the mentioned patch in a binary so your comment about what to use is moot, if you compile yourself, use the patch, if you use a distro use the package). comparing the speed of NX with its insecure and outdated snapshot of the old included xlibs with recent implementations of xcb is somewhat like comparing netscape 2 with firefox 3.5 :) ciao oli [1] http://xcb.freedesktop.org/
