James, One didn't exist until I read the post. :) I simply copied the "telnet" screen script and modified it for ssh. There is (or should be) a whole "screen scripts" section to the manual that speaks to how to create custom screen scripts to do your bidding. Took me all of 2 minutes. I figured, the script was useful enough to have in our upstream collection. Definitely let me know if/how well it works and whether it needs more modification. We designed LTSP to be very versatile and to give the users a framework upon which to customize for their needs. That is kind of what LTSP is all about. But, we are also very aware of the learning curve involved in writing your own screen scripts and the like, so any time we can make a simple one available upstream, we try to. Cheers, -Gadi PS: I also recently pushed a "menu" screen script that allows you to bring up a console-based (whiptail) menu of choices so the *user* can choose which type of screen they want to run. For example, "Windows Server in Building A" or "Linux Server" or "Kiosk", etc. It is upstream in launchpad, but if anyone is interested in trying it out, that would be great. If you cannot glean from the script how to use it, let me know. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > The Planet: dedicated and managed hosting, cloud storage, colocation > Stay online with enterprise data centers and the best network in the business > Choose flexible plans and management services without long-term contracts > Personal 24x7 support from experience hosting pros just a phone call away. > http://p.sf.net/sfu/theplanet-com > _____________________________________________________________________ > Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
