This is interesting for me, too. I've been looking for a way to offer 
dropbox to the LTSP users and have it installed for them IF they wish.

Dropbox needs a user account on their server, of course, so it would be 
some kind of registering procedure included here. The first point I 
would have to make clear is whether the user has to register with 
Dropbox (via their website) prior to install on the LTSP system, or 
during my install-script-or-whatsoever under LTSP. (I do have another 
Linux and another Windows with my Dropbox account, but I don't remember 
if the installer can actually register the user. Do you know it?)

Currently, I use Dropbox on the LTSP system, and the binaries are in a 
simple directory in my $HOME. I thought of making a copy of it in /opt 
or so. My install script could then make a symlink from the user's 
Autostart pointing to the binary.

They could download and install it under Windows at home for themselves 
then.

What do you think?
