While we are talking about luarocks changes, I would really like a way to run test suites from luarocks.
Ideally to run them after install (in order to find install errors), although I know a lot of test suites are not well designed to do this and are designed to be run at build time. Generally it should just be a matter of running a command and getting a success or fail - common idioms are make test or lua test.lua or similar. There are some issues I suppose around dependencies, if something has additional dependencies to run the tests, so we might need a test dependencies extension too. Of course this would all be optional, but encouraged...
