Most Windows users generally want (almost) the same experience forever. Look at the public outrage at Windows 8.

Pretty cool in my opinion, Federico! I guess that blended so nice with Lubuntu default theme... There is not an option to set opacity?

I guess we must try some, and figure it out which of them has the best cost benefit. I can help you with some basic tests...

And about the adoption, it dosen't have to be an official package, there is space for that. It's a good idea, many users, even those who migrated from XP are looking for an different expirience...

    Ok folks,

I'm playing a bit with others docks to see if a can recreate a
good OSX environment without composite manager.
I have tested Docky, Simdock and Plank. I think the last one
should be the better choice because Is simple to configure via
conf files, even without composite is usable and has a minimum
impact, 15 mb more-less. Add launcher is quite easy too.
Not have a CM means we will not have shadows or transparencies but
the system will be more snappy. Note that the CPU usage is not 35%
as in the screenshot but just 3%. Bad timing!

    What do you think?
