Hi Chris, I haven't specifically asked NoMachine about the issue with shutdown without permission through lightdm, but I suspect that they would (quite rightly, if you ask me) say that it is an issue in lightdm, not an issue in NoMachine. I think the problem is that lightdm expects to be the one to iniate a remote login, if a remote login happens. With NX there is a different daemon that facilitates the login. Lightdm would then think that anybody logged in, not through a remotely iniated session through lightdm, is a local user, that should be allowed to shutdown/reboot. Thinking more about it, I think I will go and file a bug against lightdm. The developers can then either dismiss it as a non-issue, or implement a fix :)
