I remember having to turn JIT off for soem reasons several years ago using system properties or env variables.
However, that was a run-time thing.... is this different?
Good point. I wasn't really thinking. Ant is compile time, and the problem is run time. So we have a workaround for Lucene 1.4 with IBM 1.3, but folks still have to encounter the bug and find the workaround, which is a pain. Sigh.
