yes I have tried dig <domain> @another_nameserver and its fine. This
is what I think bind checks (correct me if am wrong)

- local domain
- internal cache
- forwarders
- root servers

Given these steps, bind should be able to get the answer (unless of
course the domain doesn't exist)

Is there a way of configuring bind to follow the query til it gets an
authoritative answer?
