Check to see if
you have the development packages for these libraries installed. You need
these for header (*.h) files that PHP will use during compile time.
I'm not sure whether development packages exist for
your distribution (which one is it?), but they should. My
recent experience with this library was on FreeBSD (ports), so that
took care of header files already.
