Actually the "server" version just contains things like high availability
storage foundation and clustering stuff and many other such things that are
quite complex to setup on your won. The SuSE site actually makes it clear
that you could install these things on your own onto the OS and set them up
but what they offer you, is the whole thing bundled up in one package with
easy setup and configuration for those who would rather pay the money rather
than sweat at it for weeks on end getting it to work plus the support they
offer of course.

I think it is a good direction for linux to take. For the hard core fans, the
software is still all out there in open source and you can do it yourself,
but it also makes it available for corporations which often require support
contracts and SLA guarantees not to mention tight deadlines.

Noah.
