I suppose the motivation is to woe Windows enterprise customers that
find it easier to build data centres on the Windows platform
because of the pre-thoughtout solutions from the software vendor.
The motivation is to get a RoI, but not to worry, you'll soon be
updating all your packages via WIndowsUpdate ;-):
