Hi Reinier,
i am just curious why you like (k)ubuntu soo much, out of all distros. I
had tried it several times, latest was kubuntu 7.04, which i installed
on my office desktop and used for about 3 month. At first I was very
happy how easy it was to install software (automatix2 is great, but not
installed by default), especially those plugins, codecs and other 3rd
party appz that are not included because of licensing issues.
However with time, applications started to crash and some of the appz
installed via synaptic just crashed out of the box. I know that
(k)ubuntu is trying to add the latest and greatest software to its
releases, but at which cost?
Ultimately, I was forced to remove Kubuntu because I was not as
productive as when working with suse 10.2.
Currently I am running PCBSD 1.4 which can easily level the user
friendliness of (k)ubuntu, has a great, easy to use package manger for
pbi (push-button installer) binary packages, plus you can use the bsd
port system via a GUI interface.
Anyway am not hating on (k)unbuntu and i think it contributes greatly to
the popularity of Linux, however personally i was a bit disappointed.

Nope, we are going (k)ubuntu exclusively. One day, we would like to have some
repositories as well, so you can quickly install software and run updates for
all your machines in the office. The more people that make the switch, the
better that would work.
That, and the advantage of having a lot of ubuntu knowledge in the country.
and, after all, Mark is african, isn't he.
