A colleague in Arua, Uganda is trying to get internet connectivity using
his MacBook laptop. One of his options is a "UTL CDMA"device.
In Mountbatten.net FAQs, I saw that there is a way to get this device to
work under Linux. I wrote to the folks at Mountbatten.net and they
referred me to you saying that there were a number of Mac users on this
list.
Does anyone know how to get a "UTL CDMA" device to work with a Mac
running OS X 10.4.x or 10.5.x? If so, what does he need to do to get it
up and running?
you would need drivers for OS X. What hardware does "UTL CDMA" run?
Huawei something?
Or start by trying out generic scripts:

I use the generic HSDPA script from that page which works well with my
Huawei E220 (in fact better than the Huawei-supplied script)
