IF u use linux, at a "command line" type:

man host

or

man whois


to find out more.


Also tools like traceroute or mtr will try to resolve the IP for you.

Did anyone get a nice quote from his ISP? Or are they just reaping the

Of course they are maximising profits, it's what they are supposed to do.

Cannibalizing their margins is not something they are about to do...although it only takes one ISP to start a price war, it seems that they are all reluctant to pass on the bulk of their new connectivity prices to endusers.
I may be wrong tho, stranger things have happened.
