As pointed out, we do not block any ports. You are are free to use whatever
ports you want to use while using your dongle. The email setup you have
dictates the nature of connectivity you are to setup. The default port 25
connections and port 110 are open for you to use, again, they are not
blocked.

Most email hosting companies will provide port 25 for you if you are an
Internet user on their network. Orange is going to and will provide his smtp
service, however, there is a lot of that platform that is still under
development. As soon as its done, it will be availed to all Orange Internet
users.

Others will provide port 25 for you if and only if you authenticate to send
email. Google is such one email service provider that does not care what IP
address you connect from as long as you authenticate.

Unfortunately, I do not know of any email service provider in Uganda that
offers smtpauth (I stand to be corrected) on their service platform while
not connecting from their network. (Again I stand to be corrected.)
