Of course, someone being able to steal your PayPal account 
details nullifies this as being a more secure form of online 
payments, as credit card details are stored with PayPal too.

Needless to say, outside major regions, PayPal is pretty 
useless for many purchases out of North America (I do 
acknowledge, though, that FNB South Africa have brought them 
to South Africa).

Google Checkout is another option, perhaps not any more 
secure than PayPal, but maybe simpler (still suffers from 
"reach" issues, though, for the international types).
