Not your sour grapes Victor ... i've seen enough of your posts to know that
you are well above that sort of thing. I should have made that clear.

My whole thing is if you dont want freedoms to be limited, then dont buy
iphone/ipad products. I choose to buy and iphone and am very happy with the
closed environment and it doesn't bother me that i can not install random
software because what they have in the app store covers 110% of what i need.
I also have a blackberry that operates in exactly the same kind of
'ecosystem' but i do not hear anyone complaining that RIM is stepping on
peoples freedoms. And if you look at winmo devices, arent they exactly the
same as well?
And speaking of android devices, several of my co-workers have android
devices, and guess what .... its exactly the same. they are not any more
open than the iphone / app store arrangement. You can not install any app
that you want. They have taken the tethering apps out of the android app
store and in order to install these tethering apps everyone here had to use
hacked root firmware to do so. That sounds exactly like jailbreaking to me,
does it not?
