So just got the iPad at work this morning. I must say when you actually put your hands on it it is soo much more than a bigger ipod touch. The phrase should actually be that the ipod/iphone is a smaller version of the iPad and that you are missing out on the experience and the point that apple is trying to make by using the stripped down version of their idea.
That being said everything else is as you read in countless reviews on the web. The battery life is ridiculous, but the device is heavy and i end up putting it on the table after a few minutes. the screen when viewed in person is the stuff of legends. and web surfing is easier than it is on desktop. If you get a chance try it out
