Something's been botherin' me for a while now. Does anyone have a way of automating the picking of SMS messages from a phone/SIM and then sending them to a csv file or DB? The idea is to pick and store the sender number and SMS details. Sending an SMS via php/web (to a physical phone number) is ok as it goes via e-mail to the provider’s SMS gateway. Is there a way to reverse this process, via kannel, (or some other software) or do I have to consider using a hacked modem and checking for the texts at given intervals? Pl'se free to contact me off-list, if the need arises. All ideas are welcome. PS: The cost of a third party bulk SMS Provider (like TrueAfrican), is currently prohibitive. :) (DO they even offer such a service?) FRANCIS.
