Hi, If you love python, and have a Huawei modem (MTN & UTL I think), pyhumod should do great, light, easily customizable, more like a library actually, supports all AT commands.

Does anyone have a way of automating the picking of SMS messages from a phone/SIM and then sending them to a csv file or DB? The idea is to pick and store the sender number and SMS details. The only way of picking an SMS from a phone is if you are connected to it through a serial cable or through bluetooth. From a simcard, all you need is access to the sim and a simcard adaptor and you should be able to pick it up. I am not sure I quite understand what you are trying to do. To take a wild shot at it. If you connect a phone to your SMS gateway so as to use it as the SMSC, then any message that comes through that simcard (in a phone or a simcard modem) can be processed by your SMSC to extract what you need. <snip> PS: It is usually good to tidy up a message to the list to avoid long emails which have no relevance to your current email. -- Mike Of course, you might discount this possibility, but remember that one in a million chances happen 99% of the time. ------------------------------------------------------------
