Hi Andrew,
Last night I got hold of a copy of Lucid Lynx from Tracy at EACOSS. However, I was terribly dissappointed because it could not run on my hardware. It reminded me of our Redmond friends where you have to upgrade hardware every time you upgrade your OS. I suppose, lucid is then a good alternative to Vista or 7!! Incidentally, this is not the case with my favourite Debian. I have always managed to install new Debian versions on older hardware; never needing to upgrade with the upgrade. I was tempted to ask myself if Ubuntu is copying some of the bad habits of our neighbours!!! That said I still want to give it a test run and discover what the hype is all about. In the meantime I still sing the praises of Debian lenny, for like Guiness, it is filled with goodness to the core.
