Given PXE at your laptop, Collin's idea is best, alternatively use external usb 
cdrom after giving it 1st priority bootdevice. It should install with GUI.

Net install allows you t install from a tftp srever if your laptop can PXE 
boot. We use that in my office alot so that we can download several different 
distros to a central location that anyone can use to install the distro of 
their choice. centos/redhat suse distros ubuntu and even the less popular ones 
all support it
