Hi,

the most exiting way is to edit your sources.list file and replace all karmic
instances to lucid (or whatever versions you have and want)

then do

apt-get update

then do

apt-get dist-upgrade
(a few times, do some apt-get -f dist-upgrade along the way possibly)

I have never done this on production servers, but on our print & music server
i did it about 4 times. always works in the end.
