Reinier, this statement, _________________________________________________
Drupal is the more mature system for more serious websites. __________________________________________ its good you stated 'In my opinion', and in my opinion, i see no evidence to support this view and in my opinion, i can not say Drupal is better than Joomla, Wordpress, or Sharepoint. Its like saying Pepsi is the best drink. That is a misleading statement. I would have to come up with some hard facts to come up with such a conclusion, Coming up with a good website is based on the individual skill set of a web developer or group of developers, irrespective of whetools they employ (Sharepoint, Cold Fusion, Notepad or Drupal). _________ And it prevents things like the total overhaul Joomla had between 1.0 and 1.5. ________ again this statement is misleading, there is no disadvantage in overhauling a system. This is a natural phenomenon in software development. Remember, these over hauls come from user testing, user reviews, user requests. I have no problem with over hauls. (not today not tomorrow). What would be news is if no over haul took place. Allow me to extract from Murph'y laws (http://www.murphys-laws.com/murphy/murphy-computer.html Bahaman's Law: for any given software, the moment you manage to master it, a new version appears. Sent by Bahaman. Yakko's addition: The new version always manages to change the one feature you need most. Sent by Yakko <[email protected]> _______ the amount compatible with Drupal 6 is about 4400. (lies, lies & statistics ;-) _______ if you break down the modules which depend on each other to function, this figure could come to 500. I wish you the best in promoting Drupal, its a good fight, but i will not join you. I will leave the developers to choose a platform of their choice, they have the skills to do that.
