"Students are worse you can't compete with face book for their attention"

So don't facebook is one of the fastest platforms available today. Use it. Turn
a disadvantage into an advantage. We even have had two+ facebook devs visit
Uganda. I am sure they would a) be available for more tuition b) maybe return
to Ug. Imagine if we got organised enough to justify the first facebook server
in E.A.?

Well my be its the lecturers at one point i used to think so but now no more.
BTW by the time a student joins the university he/she has already passed
through many hands which have made or destroyed him/ her beyond redemption.
>From experience i have seen lecturers here turn some students around in just
>three years after such students touching a keyboard for their first time in
>their entire life in their first year. They say if you want to learn then you
>lower your self which most University students are not willing to do.
I one time tried to train some one superior to me on some programming language
on his request but when i gave him a book to read as i guide him i was accused
of being disrespect full and the whole thing ended there. Students are worse
you can't compete with face book for their attention. Those who have the
interest are helped and those who are spoiled are ignored and that's University
education. Its for mature people where one word should be enough to wake you up
but not a countless begging.

Hi Arinda,

Well I would question why the girl didn't have elementary debugging
skills. Either she hadn't been taught them, or had forgotten them.

IMHO the blame (if there is blame to be handed out) doesn't _just_ lie
with the lectureres, but _some_ of the blame surely does.
