Hi Stephen,

You could do it on your Gateway switch/router that links you to the
ISP....set up a mirrored port, get a box and install linux on it!
Ubuntu..slackware..anything! It is this box that you will plug into the
mirrored port. Install *softflowd* to do the listening and export the flows
to a collector like nfdump, then use that together with nfsen to draw you
nice graphs showing your usage. *Dedicate* a machine to Monitoring your
bandwidth (With quite some space if you intend to keep the data)
