Reinier,

I agree with you. I think Kyle did that in the heat of the moment, and probably
shouldn’t have removed him so impulsively. The thread went on in a different
style: Kyle: I remove you! Cavin: I join with another address and grin at you...

While Cavin has a rather controversial style, he also makes contributions to
this list, and others (where we’re both members).
I think the discussion which ended up in his removal from the list had become
personal and emotional. I believe that it is possible to have a discussion with
someone who you strongly disagree with and maybe even dislike without getting
that way.

Bottom line, I think he should be cautioned, and reinstated to the list. Also,
I suggest that the concerned parties have a chat off-list and finish up
whatever issues so that it doesn’t continue on that thread.
Regards,

Subject: [LUG] Banning a user

Hi all,

I think that kyle's decision is disputable, it not should be one members
decision to ban a user, it should be our decision as a community to not accept
someone's contributions, and let's hope it doesnt happen for a long time.

Which means that if you disagree to ban a member, please express your concerns.
There are some very valid arguments to be made to not have this happen.

However, personally, in this case, i fully support cavin's removal.
