not a u turn, but certainly Odinga was ahead early, as you can read here:

both cases prove my point about early results from polling places
being crucial in forming public opinion.

So the two most infamous cases of electoral fraud in Africa are not
relevant in a thread on electoral fraud in Africa?

A slightly different case is in US elections, where televised early
results on the East Coast affect voting patterns on the West Coast.
When the polls close in the East, some folk think "my candidate is
winning easily, so there is no need for me to vote today"

I used to work for a presidential campaign in the US, so I think I
know a bit about early results affecting voter behavior.  Do you have
any direct (paid) experience in political campaigns which have formed
your opinions?
