Hi folks,
I apologize for cross posting but i have something bothering me. A
client of mine has got an DSL router connecting to an Alvarion IDU
which obviously connects to the ODU on the roof. But between the IDU
and the DSL router lies a switch. Originally it was a linksys Gigabit
switch there but it got fried up over the weekend by power .
Surprising enough ive tried replacing that switch with an 10/100 Mbps
switch but i cant get to the internet. And all my traceroutes are
timing out after my DSL router(which is my default gateway by the way)
and yet the 10/100 Mbps switch's leds are showing activity. Whats the
significance of the gigabit switch in this connection?? and why cant
it be replaced by an 10/100 Mbps switch?? Thnx in advance.

Kind Regards
