A REGISTRY is a natural monopoly.  there can be one and one only.


What you seem to propose is the introduction of REGISTRARS into the
space, correct?

Why limit the number in this model?  There are thousands of REGISTRARS
that will sell you a .com/.net/.org/.$ domain.
