did 1 mistake to hijack an existing thread,

for the help, they are two kinds of learners, x and special needs
am not suggesting he falls in the latter category, but some learners need hand 
holding 
as earlier stated the root cause of this phenomenon can be traced to the 
current 
school system which has an emphasis on cramming (passing exams)

You know there is this thing called google where you can do some reading on 
bash 
scripting. I cant be of help when you have done no work for yourself. I suggest 
you do some reading first. Try out something and when you encounter a problem 
in 
your script then you can ask and we help otherwise you will not learn anything 
if i / we just write the code for you and post it here.
