And there is a reason why this model will continue to work - vendor and network collaborations. They make the phones really cheap to get (provided you sign up for X months/years), or sometimes even cost nothing for some of the more aggressive networks. Which means that for most other countries where networks don't support these kinds of agreements, or limit them to specific handsets, the prices will always be justifiably high. Mark.
