Oh, that's a problem with consumer-grade switches in these parts too. I usually fix it by attaching heat sinks to the relevant ICs inside. I don't do warranties. Another thing I've had to do on more than one device is to replace the internal power regulator chip to something more robust, as the device otherwise would brown-out and halt/reboot when the load became too high for comfort.
