Hi,

you should not fear to admit you have no experience. Either you have it or you
don't. And it takes time and a lot of programming to get it. It's not going to
happen overnight. Nothing to be ashamed of.

We have quite a few people who came in without any significant experience over
time and they learn so much here that their heads explode.

This time though, we would like to talk to people who have programmed
(opensource) php and javascript before, so that we can skip the whole syntax
and logic discussion and dive into the Drupal API, which is a challenged for
any programmer, experienced or not.

But awesome to work with, once you get your head around it.

If you have just started out in programming, fear not, open your editor and
start cranking out some code. Tip: do that in an existing OpenSource project
(you can even start with fixing bugs in other people's code), post your code &
patches, learn from the feedback.

The http://drupalladder.org/ project tries to guide you through this process
in a step-by-step way. As you can learn from our job posting: that might very
well pay out some day.

rgds.

Of course, you might discount this possibility, but remember that one in a
million chances happen 99% of the time.
