VSFTPD is broken on openSUSE 12.3 but PURE-FTPD works.


Install pure-ftpd
Edit /etc/pure-ftpd/pure-ftpd.conf as needed.


Importantly, do NOT run "rcpure-ftpd start"
Instead, edit /etc/xinetd.d/pure-ftpd and change "disable = yes" to "disable = 
no"




Then run "rcxinetd restart" and you should be up and running!
