Will start working with this new version as soon as possible.

At this point I have a few questions:

the lustre server kernel is based on

kernel-3.10.0-327.3.1.el7.x86_64.rpm

surely this means that the clients should be on the same version of the kernel (i.e., 3.1, but the standard one)?

And if I want to use a later kernel I have to build it from source (something I have done on one of the release candidates, but didn't have time to test)?

Would it actually be recommended to build lustre on a newer kernel (if you don't have any general issues with this older kernel)?
