Not really. The correct modern use would be Luis. The thing is that, as someone said (Stewart?) spelling was not consistent in the 16th century. Both are valid, because we don't actually know about his own (Mil�n's) preferences, or how he would sign, for example. If they did use both, we can use both as well, or choose the modern spelling. Actually we can use any name we like. I don't think that's the most important thing about Mil�n, to be honest. Ariel.
