So what are you carping about?

Indeed he has. But I have been around a lot longer than most of you,
and Bob Spencer was a close personal friend with whom I have had many
dealings. I bought from him not a small number of original editions,
he bought from me many of the same (we basically exchanged some of
the doubles we had). He was the person who provided me with
photographs of his lyre guitar which were used in my article on the
subject: "The Story of the Lyre-Guitar", in Soundboard XIV/4, in
1987-88 Winter, that later became the current entry in the New Grove
on the lyre guitar and in which one of Bob Spencer's photographs is reproduced.

That's a cheap shot. I insinuated nothing. Simply reported on what a
search on the ABE data base brought. Take a look yourself:

I may be wrong that Reprint Services is a Dutch company, but that's
entirely besides the point.

That you are obviously a not very competent troll. At least Ness is
coming on with the air of presumed authority. You are demonstrating
basic haplessness in thinking up idiocies.

You are exactly right. This has nothing to do with the lute. But
perhaps you ought to address that complain to the person who has been
starting these many guitar related threads here: Arthur Joseph-Ness
Ph.D. The moment he stopped trolling this list with guitar related
crap, I will stop reacting to them. There is no need for rehashing,
for the hundredth time the same stupid arguments.

>perhaps Matanya will share at least some of it with us online?

I would strongly recommend to you going to the nearest library, and
it should not be difficult for one who is in "Library Sciences", and
check out the book.

Indeed we are. Do address your grievance to the chief grinder here:
Arthur Joseph-Ness Ph.D.
