I suspect that if even the worst "flamer" is exiled, people will just
continue with the remaining members. It's just like politics or religion.
While most of the time I find the electronic insults ("e-sults"?) a waste of
time, MO often has intelligent contributions to make, and does make them,
until buttons are pushed.
It requires no great effort to delete obnoxious messages.
