Dear Alfonso,
Another Lute Society project in progress! The Morley Canzonets
arranged for voice & lute are being edited by Christiane Pusch,
with some help from Chris Goodwin. Like the Phalese lute songs,
in the original the lute parts and voice parts are presented
separately rather than in score, so there is quite a lot of
work involved in presenting them in score and tidying up the
the errors in the original. It's on my 'to do' list to try to
get this project finished.

Best wishes,

Denys

Subject: [LUTE] Morleys Canzonets with lute 1597

Dear all,

As you know, I am trying to collect sources for voice and lute.
I have discovered in Brown's book "instrumental music printed before 1600"
an entry with lute accompaniment I was not aware of.

It is marked as:

1597[10] "Canzonets or little short aers to five and sixe voices"

I have looked on the internet for a facsimile or a modern edition with lute
tablature of this book with no success. Anyone can help?

I take this opportunity to thank all of you that are helping me on my
search. My initial list of missin sources is decreasing thanks to you!!

best wishes,

Alfonso Marin
